Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Flexibility to work varying days and weekends
  • Attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning checklists and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning standards and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean assigned guestrooms according to standards including dusting, replacing linens, vacuuming, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning bathrooms, mirrors and windows and replacing towels
  • Complete pre-cleaning duties including replenishing guest supplies, cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed according to shift checklist
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day use
  • Replenish chemical bottles adhering to expirations and safety standards
  • Report all missing items, maintenance repairs, and handle lost and found items according to standards
  • Report room status using the guest room phone and update cleaning assignment documents
  • Provide attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests ensuring overall guest satisfaction
