Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
  • capability to bend, lift, carry, twist, push, pull, reach, kneel frequently
  • able to stand or walk for prolonged periods

  • able to perform cleaning and maintenance duties
  • capable of reporting unusual situations promptly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting preferred
  • ability to operate housekeeping equipment safely
  • good communication and guest service skills
  • ability to follow hotel cleanliness and safety standards
  • basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Clean assigned guestrooms according to hotel standards
  • place and restock usable items in the suite including paper items, soap, towels, and other designated items
  • clean immediate exterior entry areas and windows according to hotel standards
  • operate housekeeping equipment correctly and safely
  • maintain and restock housekeeping cart each day
  • assist in monthly housekeeping inventory
  • know all hotel emergency procedures
  • follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
  • follow all hotel quality assurance standards for the department
  • administer key control for issued keys
  • administer keys left by guests in suite
  • bring lost and found items to supervisor or manager for logging and storage
  • use the L.E.A.R.N model for guest recovery incidents
  • maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with guests
  • report unusual situations in guestrooms immediately
  • fill out maintenance work orders timely
  • accommodate guest special requests courteously
  • answer guest questions regarding hotel and local areas
  • carry out reasonable requests by management
