Job Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience providing required knowledge, skills, and ability
  • Knowledge of housekeeping tasks and hotel policies
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, and twist
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests, employees, vendors, and management
  • Adherence to hotel policies and procedures
  • Willingness to work varied schedules reflecting business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year hospitality experience in housekeeping preferred
  • Understanding of basic English preferred
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service

  • Knowledge of hotel layout, facilities, and services
  • Awareness of emergency procedures and safety precautions

Job Duties

  • Clean assigned guest rooms or suites per brand standards including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathroom
  • Empty all trash containers and replace liners
  • Restock usable items such as soap, towels, paper products
  • Remove guest room trays, dinnerware, glassware, and silverware
  • Clean and vacuum exterior entry and hallways
  • Keep linen closets and supply areas clean and organized
  • Attend to guest laundry and dry-cleaning orders promptly
  • Notify supervisor of any special guest room issues including maintenance needs
  • Handle guest complaints or requests and escalate when necessary
  • Ensure all rooms are secured after cleaning
  • Handle chemicals and equipment according to training and instructions
  • Provide personal attention and teamwork in guest service
  • Listen and resolve guest problems with empathy and follow-through
