Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education or equivalent
  • Up to six months related experience or training
  • Ability to read and understand two- and three-syllable words
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to apply common sense to detailed instructions
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests
  • Ability to identify and report safety or security concerns
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals
  • Willingness to work in moderate noise environment and use hand tools

Job Qualifications

  • Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks regularly

Job Duties

  • Clean rooms and halls daily in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
  • Greet guests warmly upon encounter
  • Replace linens on beds and replenish room supplies
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
  • Rearrange furnishings and room accessories
  • Provide linens and amenities according to guest room legend
  • Ensure rooms are locked and arranged per executive housekeeper's standards
  • Report damages, hazards, and suspicious persons
  • Return lost and found items with proper documentation
  • Manage all keys assigned for the shift
  • Clean corridors and service areas
  • Respond to housekeeping management requests
  • Replace light bulbs when necessary
  • Restock cart and organize linen closet at end of shift
