Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Up to six months related experience or training
- Ability to read and write simple sentences
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands frequently
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Physical capability to reach overhead
- Awareness of safety and security guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple written or oral instructions
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to recognize situations requiring supervisory attention
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
Job Duties
- Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
- Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- Greet guests with a good morning or appropriate salutation
- Replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- Rearrange furnishings, drapes, and room accessories
- Provide necessary linen and amenities to guests as per guest room legend
- Leave guest rooms in uniform arrangement, lock door after cleaning
- Report any damage, hazards, repairs, or strangers in assigned areas
- Return items found to Housekeeping department as lost and found with proper documentation
- Responsible for keys signed out during shift
- Clean all corridors and service areas
- Respond to Housekeeping management team projects and requests
- Replace light bulbs if necessary
- Restock cart at end of shift and organize linen closet
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
