Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- Up to six months related experience or training
- Ability to read simple two and three syllable words
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions
- Ability to speak English to communicate with guests
- Ability to recognize situations requiring immediate supervisory attention
- Ability to use reasonable care for guest safety and security
- Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
- Ability to lift or move weights up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work with cleaning fluids and operate hand tools
- Ability to work in moderate noise environment
Job Qualifications

- Ability to communicate in English with guests
- Knowledge of safety and security measures for guest well-being
Job Duties
- Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
- Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- Greet guests with a friendly good morning, afternoon, or evening
- Replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- Rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
- Provide necessary linen and amenities to guests
- Leave guest rooms in uniform arrangement and ensure doors are closed and locked
- Report any damage, hazards, repairs and strangers in assigned areas
- Return found items to Housekeeping department with proper documentation
- Be responsible for all keys signed out for the shift
- Clean all corridors and service areas
- Respond to housekeeping projects or requests
- Replace light bulbs if necessary
- Restock cart and organize linen closet at end of shift
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
