Job Requirements
- Must be available to work rotating days off and weekends
- Ability to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, concentrating, and communicating
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach
- Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
- Capability to work long hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years of experience in a branded, quality hotel preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens, terry, and other supplies
- Understanding of sanitation standards for supplies, guestrooms, and public areas
- Familiarity with safety and security measures
- Ability to maintain guest privacy
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with guests and coworkers
- Detail oriented and able to multitask
- Ability to follow systematic cleaning procedures
- Professionalism and honesty
Job Duties
- Daily clean and return vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status and return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status
- Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
- Report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Department Supervisor
- Turns in articles left in rooms to Housekeeping office for lost and found handling
- Insures quality and quantity of the contents of the linen closet by organizing and cleaning it
- Maximizes job efficiency and neat, orderly appearance by maintaining supply cart and vacuum cleaner
- Insures safety and maximum security
- Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
