Job Requirements

  • Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
  • Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals
  • Will be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Some previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English preferred
  • Other languages beneficial
  • Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities preferred

Job Duties

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards
  • Respond to guest complaints and special requests to ensure complete guest satisfaction
  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas
  • Notify supervisor when service is completed or if a room cannot be serviced
  • When assigned to laundry, operate washers and dryers, monitor supplies, inspect linens, fold and store clean linens, and report damages
  • Minimize waste of supplies and amenities
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects regularly
  • Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions
  • Handle lost and found items according to procedures
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other shifts and management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
