Job Requirements
- Must pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
- must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
- must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities including bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, kneeling
- must be able to see, hear, speak, and understand English
- must display professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times
- ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends
- must maintain a friendly and professional image
Job Qualifications
- Experience in similar positions helpful but not mandatory
- knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens and supplies
- understanding of sanitation of supplies, guestrooms, and public areas
- knowledge of safety and security measures
- ability to maintain designated cleaning minutes per room
- ability to maintain guest privacy
- ability to follow company cleaning procedures systematically
- professional and hospitable attitude when assisting guests
- must be able to work independently and as a team member
- strong communication skills
- ability to multi-task and remain service centric
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner
- clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready
- return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status within specified time
- maintain crisp, clean, professional appearance
- adhere to grooming and uniform standards
- maintain clean and orderly housekeeping cart
- follow all cleaning procedures outlined in housekeeping training
- report discrepancies to housekeeping manager
- assist in maintaining clean and orderly hotel areas including restrooms and public spaces
- respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly
- have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and safety needs
- perform other duties as assigned
