Job Requirements

  • Must pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
  • must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities including bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, kneeling
  • must be able to see, hear, speak, and understand English
  • must display professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends
  • must maintain a friendly and professional image

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions helpful but not mandatory
  • knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens and supplies
  • understanding of sanitation of supplies, guestrooms, and public areas
  • knowledge of safety and security measures
  • ability to maintain designated cleaning minutes per room
  • ability to maintain guest privacy
  • ability to follow company cleaning procedures systematically
  • professional and hospitable attitude when assisting guests
  • must be able to work independently and as a team member
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multi-task and remain service centric

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner
  • clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready
  • return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status within specified time
  • maintain crisp, clean, professional appearance
  • adhere to grooming and uniform standards
  • maintain clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • follow all cleaning procedures outlined in housekeeping training
  • report discrepancies to housekeeping manager
  • assist in maintaining clean and orderly hotel areas including restrooms and public spaces
  • respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly
  • have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and safety needs
  • perform other duties as assigned
