Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required
- Ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk for extended periods

Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- Cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- Cleans corridors and stairways
- Sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- Dusts furniture, washes walls and woodwork, washes windows, door panels, and sills
- Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area
- Replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- Scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fan
- Completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- Removes items left behind from rooms and follows proper hotel procedures
- Reports maintenance problems to the maintenance department
- Uses supplies and equipment carefully
- Wears proper uniform at all times
- Achieves a score of 90% or higher on room inspections
- Greets guests pleasantly
- Displays knowledge of in-house products and local area information
- Organizes and stocks carts timely
- Maintains cleanliness of commercial areas
- Responds timely to customer needs for housekeeping supplies
- Uses guest names when entering occupied rooms
- Checks vacant rooms daily for status accuracy
- Maintains supply room organization
- Assists co-workers when needed
- Displays a team attitude
