Job Requirements

  • Must pass security clearance as per company policy
  • able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and carry 30 pounds
  • able to stand for eight hours
  • able to bend stretch reach crawl and kneel

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging housing hospitals and care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens terry and supplies
  • knowledgeable in sanitation of supplies guestrooms and public areas
  • understands guestroom cleaning procedures
  • aware of safety and security measures
  • ability to maintain guest privacy
  • can follow company cleaning procedures systematically
  • ability to assist with guest issues professionally
  • able to work alone
  • capable of multitasking
  • communicates effectively with guests and coworkers
  • works well as a team member
  • capable of standing bending and lifting for extended periods
  • understands importance of honesty and trustworthiness

Job Duties

  • Provides excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • follows company standards of friendly hospitality
  • adheres to guidelines and procedures
  • responsible for cleanliness of guest rooms
  • organizes and maintains usage of supplies
  • cleans vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready
  • returns occupied dirty rooms to clean status within specified time
  • maintains grooming and uniform standards
  • keeps housekeeping cart clean and orderly
  • follows cleaning procedures outlined in housekeeping training
  • reports discrepancies to housekeeping manager
  • maintains other hotel areas clean and orderly
  • responds to guest requests and inquiries immediately
  • understands emergency procedures and safety needs of guests and associates
  • performs other duties as assigned
