Job Requirements

  • prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred

Job Duties

  • clean and service assigned guest rooms and bathrooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards
  • change sheets and make beds in both stay-over and check out guest rooms
  • vacuum guest rooms and dust entire guest room including tables, nightstands, dressers, light fixtures, televisions, air conditioning units, and window ledges
  • clean all mirrors
  • notify guest services when service is complete so rooms may be sold
  • report any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to supervisor
  • report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • respond to requests from guests, supervisors, or management in a timely and efficient manner
  • maintain linen cart and supplies neat and organized
  • maintain the security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day
  • report lost and found articles to supervisor
  • replace light bulbs
  • transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing materials, bathroom supplies, and linen
  • clean rooms according to specific brand and company minutes per room standard
  • follow procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program
  • respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner
  • report appropriate complaints or requests to the appropriate department
  • follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • keep maid station clean and organized
  • make rollaway beds
  • provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
  • follow company policies and procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
