Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible shifts including variations in days and hours
- Commitment to following safety protocols and company policies
- Ability to maintain professionalism and personal grooming standards
- Ability to work under operational demands of a 24/7 hotel environment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust and clean rooms
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Effective communication skills with guests and co-workers
- Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings
- Ability to use written communication to mark paperwork
- Manual dexterity to move fingers, arms and hands quickly to perform cleaning duties
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures and fire prevention
- Team-oriented attitude
Job Duties
- Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure enough cleaning supplies, equipment and amenities are available
- Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
- Cleans assigned guest rooms and ensures amenities are stocked
- Completes entire housekeeping checklist and marks clean rooms for inspection
- Reports damages or hazards in guest rooms like burned out bulbs or broken furniture
- Secures guest room doors upon exiting
- Keeps corridors and service areas neat and clean
- Turns in all lost and found items and guest room keys
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Follows safety and security rules and fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilizes protective equipment
- Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- Maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Performs related duties as requested by management
- Assists other housekeeping personnel when needed
