Job Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking during entire shift
- Frequent kneeling, squatting and bending
- Ability to push up to 50lbs and pull, lift or carry up to 20lbs
- Frequent use of hand, wrist and manual dexterity
- Exposure to EAP approved cleaning chemicals, dust and smells
- Occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Ability to interact with guests using speaking, listening and writing
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping beneficial
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
- Reliable and punctual
- Team player with good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry or janitorial services preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests in a friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
Job Duties
- Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure health, safety and comfort of colleagues and guests
- Clean guest rooms to company and Forbes standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down walls and taking out trash
- Restock carts with cleaning and sanitization supplies such as cleaning products, mops, wipes and brooms
- Utilize proper protective equipment as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines
- Clean rooms within established minutes-per-room guidelines and complete approximately 12-15 rooms per shift
- Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager or security immediately and report any missing/found articles or damages to the Executive Housekeeper
- Maintain complete security of master room key and return it at end of shift
- Follow company policy for room amenities including laundry bags, hangers, blankets, pillows and bath products
- Conduct duties with great attention to detail including checking under beds, dusting lights and inspecting for damages and reporting to Engineering
- Assist with laundry as needed
- PM shift attendants responsible for up to 14 turndown rooms
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
