Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass security clearance per company policy
  • ability to perform major life activities such as standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities like bending stretching reaching crawling kneeling
  • ability to see hear speak and read or understand English
  • willing to maintain a professional appearance
  • able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • must display honesty and trustworthiness at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging housing hospitals or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens terry and supplies
  • skills in maintaining designated cleaning times per room
  • ability to maintain guest privacy
  • ability to follow systematic cleaning procedures
  • strong communication skills with guests and coworkers
  • professionalism honesty and trustworthiness
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • clean and prepare vacant dirty rooms and occupied rooms per brand standards
  • maintain a crisp clean professional appearance and adhere to grooming and uniform standards daily
  • keep housekeeping cart clean and orderly
  • follow all cleaning procedures outlined in training and checklists
  • maintain guest privacy
  • respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • assist in maintaining cleanliness of hotel public areas and back of house
  • report discrepancies and safety hazards to manager
  • understand emergency and safety procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned
