Job Requirements

  • Must pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • must be able to perform manual tasks including lifting 30 pounds and pushing/pulling 60 pounds
  • able to stand for long periods and perform physical activities such as bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, and kneeling
  • must be able to see and hear
  • must be able to speak and read or understand English
  • display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • maintain flexible work schedule including availability on holidays and weekends
  • ability to work in a 24/7 operation
  • adhere to grooming and uniform standards
  • comply with all company cleaning and safety procedures
  • maintain guest privacy and confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • ability to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
  • ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • ability to stand for eight hours
  • ability to bend, stretch, reach, crawl, kneel
  • good vision and hearing
  • proficiency in English, with additional languages being helpful
  • strong professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • knowledge of proper linen handling, sanitation, safety, security, and guestroom cleaning procedures
  • ability to maintain guest privacy, follow cleaning procedures, assist with guest issues professionally, and maintain designated cleaning times
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers in a friendly, professional manner
  • ability to work as a team member and independently
  • ability to multi-task and remain service-centric

Job Duties

  • Provides excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • maintains cleanliness of guest rooms and organizes supplies
  • cleans vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready and returns occupied dirty rooms to clean status
  • maintains a professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • maintains a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • follows all cleaning procedures outlined in training checklists
  • reports discrepancies to housekeeping manager
  • assists in maintaining cleanliness of other hotel areas
  • responds promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • follows emergency procedures and safety and security protocols
  • performs other assigned duties as capable
