Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continually throughout the shift
- Must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout the shift
- Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout the shift
- Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50lbs through hallways and closets
- Ability to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
- Ability to read written instructions and computer print-outs
- Willingness to work in a prolonged strenuous physical activity in an indoor climate-controlled environment
- Able to tolerate excessive heat and humidity in laundry area
- No prior experience required
Job Qualifications
- No formal education or training required
- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms and set up cleaning cart with supplies, maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion
- Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways
- Wash shower walls, tubs, clean toilets and stall walls and wipe exposed pipes
- Replace towels, soaps and all room amenities and restock literature
- Wash all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas
- Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings, including vents and ceiling corners
- Strip bed of all linen and remake with fresh linens, checking for cleanliness and replacing if soiled
- Lift mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under beds
- Check closet for cleanliness and restock guest room supplies
- Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways, including underneath furniture and hard to reach areas
- Inspect all door and window locks and alert management to any unsecured or unsafe situation
- Inspect room equipment to ensure proper working order and report deficiencies
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
