- Less than high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- ability to read and recognize simple words and numbers
- ability to print and speak simple sentences
- ability to apply common sense understanding
- ability to communicate in English
- ability to recognize situations that require supervisory attention
- ability to maintain guest safety
- able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and use hands frequently
- able to work with cleaning chemicals and operate hand tools
- willing to work in moderate noise environment

Job Duties
- Clean guest rooms and halls daily in accordance with hotel procedures
- stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- greet guests warmly with appropriate salutations
- replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
- provide necessary linen and amenities to guests in accordance with the guest room legend
- leave guest room in uniform arrangement and ensure door is closed and locked
- report any damage, hazards, repairs, or strangers in assigned areas
- return items found in guest rooms, hallways or back of house to housekeeping as lost and found with proper documentation
- be responsible for all keys signed out for the shift
- clean all corridors and service areas
- respond to any projects or requests from housekeeping management
- replace light bulbs if necessary
- restock cart at end of shift and organize linen closet
- perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
