Job Requirements
- medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or move objects
- ability to bend stretch twist or reach with body and arms
- ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- near vision ability to see details at close range
- ability to stand for long periods without sitting or leaning
- ability to multitask
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning role preferred
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work well in a team environment
- good communication skills
- physical capability to perform medium work
Job Duties
- maintain clean and attractive guestrooms making beds changing linens cleaning dusting polishing and vacuuming to meet or exceed hotel standards
- ensure windows are shining towels are folded correctly supplies are restocked and closets are neat and clean with the right amount of hangers
- maintain housekeeping closet and cart area organized and ready for use
- assist coworkers by pitching in training new staff and participating in department events
- greet guests warmly with a smile acting as a housekeeping ambassador
- follow hotel safety and security policies and procedures anticipating problems and informing management as necessary
- stand for long periods and multitask efficiently while performing duties
