Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning and safety procedures
- Physical ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Capability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Willingness to work varied shifts including possible evening hours
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of master room keys
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services (preferred)
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
Job Duties
- Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues and guests
- Clean guest rooms to Company and Forbes standards including but not limited to making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, and taking out trash
- Restock cart with cleaning and sanitization supplies such as cleaning products, mops, wipes, and brooms
- Replenish chemical bottles
- Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines for completing the job safely
- Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and Director of Rooms
- Turn in all items left in guestroom to Manager or Security immediately
- Report any missing/found articles or damage that is in need of immediate attention to the Executive Housekeeper
- Maintain complete security of master room key
- Return the key at the end of shift
- Never leave property with the master room key
- Follow Company policy for room amenities, including, but not limited to, laundry bags and slips, proper placement and amount of hangers, blankets, pillows, and bath products
- Conduct all duties with great attention to detail, for example, checking under beds, dusting lights and switches, inspecting for any tears, rips, stains and reporting any damages to Engineering
- Assist with laundry as needed
- PM Shift Room Attendants are responsible for up to 14 credits of turndown rooms
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests
- Other duties as assigned
