Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continually throughout a shift
  • Must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture during shift
  • Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout shift
  • Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50lbs
  • Ability to identify debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
  • Ability to read instructions and computer print-outs

Job Qualifications

  • No formal education or training required
  • Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
  • Ability to use cleaning products and operate standard cleaning equipment
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

Job Duties

  • Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms and set up cleaning cart
  • Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms and public areas
  • Wash shower walls, tubs, clean toilets and restroom areas
  • Replace towels, soaps, room amenities and restock literature
  • Wash all hard floor areas by hand
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and wall hangings
  • Strip beds of linen and remake with fresh linens
  • Lift mattresses to check for soil
  • Check closet cleanliness and restock guest room supplies
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways
  • Inspect door and window locks and report unsafe situations
  • Inspect room equipment and report maintenance issues
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies
  • Maintain friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
