Job Requirements
- Pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
- able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
- must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities such as bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, kneeling
- must be able to see and hear
- must be able to speak and read or understand English
- professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times
- able to maintain flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Experience in similar positions helpful but not mandatory
- knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens, terry, and other supplies
- knowledge of sanitation of supplies and guestrooms
- knowledge of guest room cleaning procedures
- knowledge of safety and security measures
- ability to maintain designated minutes per room
- ability to maintain guest privacy
- ability to follow cleaning procedures systematically
- ability to assist with guest issues professionally
- ability to work alone
- ability to comply with all standards
- ability to multi task and remain service centric
- ability to communicate friendly and professionally with guests and co-workers
- ability to work as a team member
- ability to adhere to grooming and uniform standards
Job Duties
- Provides excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner
- responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms and usage and organization of supplies
- clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready and return occupied dirty rooms to occupied clean status
- maintain a crisp, clean and professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
- maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
- follow all cleaning procedures outlined in housekeeping training and checklist
- report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
- assist in maintaining other hotel areas in a clean and orderly condition
- respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
- have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
