Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to follow safety and security guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays if required
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom
- Ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and coworkers
- Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and left-behind belongings
- Ability to use written communication skills for paperwork
- Manual dexterity to perform cleaning duties efficiently
Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping bag to ensure cleaning supplies, equipment and amenities are available
- Observe knocking procedures upon entering guest rooms
- Clean assigned guest rooms and stock amenities
- Complete housekeeping checklists
- Report damages and hazards in guest rooms
- Secure guest room doors after cleaning
- Keep corridors and service areas neat
- Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures
- Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions to management
- Report accidents, injuries, property damage or loss
- Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Perform related duties as requested by management
- Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
