Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours and engage in physical activities such as bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, and kneeling
- Must have the ability to see and hear
- Must communicate effectively with associates and guests
- Must pass appropriate security clearances
- Must demonstrate honesty and trustworthiness at all times
- Must comply with all company standards and policies
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work any day or shift including weekends
- Must be physically present at the hotel
- Must maintain a professional appearance as per grooming and uniform standards
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of proper handling of linens, terry, and other supplies with sanitation and cost control in mind
- Familiarity with guestroom cleaning procedures
- Understanding of safety and security measures
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures systematically
- Professional communication skills with guests and coworkers
- Ability to multitask and remain service centric
- Ability to learn and use computer systems such as Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous, professional manner
- Clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready
- Return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
- Maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
- Follow all cleaning procedures as outlined in the housekeeping training and checklist
- Report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor
- Assist in maintaining other hotel areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Respond immediately to guest requests and inquiries
- Understand and adhere to emergency procedures and safety and security measures
- Perform other assigned duties as capable
