Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties including lifting and bending
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Completion of all required training sessions
- Commitment to providing excellent guest service
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel environment preferred
- Ability to use discretion handling confidential and sensitive information
- Demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
- General communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high level of guest satisfaction
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Completion of required training, including proper disposal and handling of sharps
- Willingness to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts
Job Duties
- Clean all areas of guest rooms according to standards and procedures
- Change linens and make beds
- Clean bathrooms
- Sweep and dust guest rooms
- Empty trash
- Maintain cleanliness of balconies and terraces
- Clean and dust room furnishings
- Restock guestroom amenities and literature
- Maintain linen closet in a clean and orderly manner
- Respond to guest requests related to room cleanliness, amenities, and linen
- Report any noted repairs or maintenance needs immediately
- Resolve guest complaints within scope or refer to management
- Notify supervisor or security of unusual events
- Manage housekeeping cart according to safety and security procedures
- Return found items to housekeeping department and log details
- Clean corridors and service areas as assigned
- Alert management to unsafe conditions and accidents
