Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties including lifting and bending
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Completion of all required training sessions
  • Commitment to providing excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel environment preferred
  • Ability to use discretion handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • General communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high level of guest satisfaction
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Completion of required training, including proper disposal and handling of sharps
  • Willingness to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts

Job Duties

  • Clean all areas of guest rooms according to standards and procedures
  • Change linens and make beds
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Sweep and dust guest rooms
  • Empty trash
  • Maintain cleanliness of balconies and terraces
  • Clean and dust room furnishings
  • Restock guestroom amenities and literature
  • Maintain linen closet in a clean and orderly manner
  • Respond to guest requests related to room cleanliness, amenities, and linen
  • Report any noted repairs or maintenance needs immediately
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope or refer to management
  • Notify supervisor or security of unusual events
  • Manage housekeeping cart according to safety and security procedures
  • Return found items to housekeeping department and log details
  • Clean corridors and service areas as assigned
  • Alert management to unsafe conditions and accidents
