Job Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment highly desired
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work varied schedule as necessary including weekends and holidays
  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing walking kneeling bending stooping and climbing stairs
  • Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions
  • Must be able to push up to 75 pounds lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience highly desired
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to follow hotel protocols and respect guest privacy
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards including making beds changing linens and replacing towels
  • Dust vacuum and sanitize surfaces
  • Replenish amenities such as soap shampoo water and coffee
  • Ensure bathrooms are cleaned sanitized and stocked with supplies
  • Clean kitchen areas where applicable and ensure appliances are clean and functional
  • Check and report maintenance issues including lighting plumbing or HVAC problems
  • Follow procedures for handling lost and found items
  • Respect guest privacy and adhere to Do Not Disturb protocols
  • Restock housekeeping carts and maintain cleanliness and safety
  • Deliver guest requested items upon request
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests and co workers
  • Maintain accurate room status information
  • Use personal protective equipment in compliance with safety data sheets
  • Comply with security fire regulations and health safety legislation
  • Assist other departments as necessary and maintain good working relationships
