Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- ability to frequently bend, lift, carry, twist, push, pull, reach, kneel
- able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- willingness to adhere to all safety and hotel guidelines
- reliability and punctuality
- capable of performing all duties within safety expectations
- open communication if unable to perform any required functions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is beneficial
- ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- ability to follow safety and quality standards
- customer service orientation
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Clean assigned guestrooms according to hotel standards
- place and restock usable items in the suite including paper items, soap, towels, and other designated items
- clean immediate exterior entry areas and windows according to hotel standards
- operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner
- maintain and restock housekeeping cart each day
- assist in monthly housekeeping inventory
- follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
- bring lost and found items to the supervisor or manager’s office
- use the L.E.A.R.N model for guest recovery incidents
- report unusual situations in guestrooms to supervisor or manager
- fill out and deliver maintenance work orders promptly
- accommodate guest special requests courteously
- answer guest questions about hotel and local area facilities
- carry out any reasonable request by management
