Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Flexible and long working hours sometimes required
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Ability to handle workplace problems effectively
- Ability to understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
Job Qualifications

- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred

- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Effectiveness in handling workplace problems including problem prevention, identification and solution
- Ability to understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic functions
- Effectiveness at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Expotel Hospitality Service standards, as required by scheduling
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag
- Comply at all times with Expotel Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
- Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
- Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
- Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
- Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
- Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day’s use
- Replenish chemical bottles
- Clean room with the door closed according to standards unless requested otherwise by the guest
- Report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
- Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
- Handle items for Lost and Found according to standards
