Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean hotel rooms and bathrooms according to department procedures
  • Sort, count, fold, and/or carry linens for making guest beds
  • Stock housekeeping carts with supplies
  • Replenish supplies in the hotel room and bathroom per hotel procedures
  • Assist in the laundry room when needed to ensure clean linens are available to clean hotel rooms
  • Dust furniture, wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, wash windows and sills, door panels
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to the waste disposal area
  • Report any problems immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor or Guest Relations Manager
  • Ensure any lost and found items are turned in to be logged
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Interact with guests on occasion while cleaning guest room
  • Promote outstanding customer relations
  • Other duties as assigned
