Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
- completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind and processes according to hotel procedures
- reports maintenance problems through proper channels
- responsibly uses supplies and equipment
- wears proper uniform at all times
- achieves a score of 90 percent or higher on room inspections
- gives a pleasant greeting to every guest
- demonstrates thorough knowledge of in-house products and local area
- maintains organizational skills in cart stocking
- assists in keeping commercial areas clean
- responds timely to housekeeping supplies needs
- uses guest names when entering occupied rooms
- checks vacant rooms daily to ensure correct status
- keeps supply room clean and organized
- exhibits team attitude and assists co-workers when needed
