  • four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
  • clean multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
  • replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
  • cleans corridors and stairways
  • sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
  • cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
  • transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
  • scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
  • completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
  • removes items left behind from room and follows proper hotel procedure
  • reports maintenance problems
  • carefully uses supplies and equipment
  • wears proper uniform
  • achieves 90% or higher on room inspections
  • greets guests pleasantly
  • knows in-house products and local area information
  • organizes supply cart and restocks timely
  • maintains cleanliness in commercial areas
  • responds to housekeeping needs promptly
  • uses guest names upon entering rooms
  • checks vacant rooms daily
  • keeps supply room clean and organized
  • assists co-workers when needed
