Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to stand walk and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow safety protocols and company policies
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • ability to maintain a neat clean appearance
  • physical ability to bend reach and perform repetitive cleaning tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and procedures
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand walk and lift up to 50 pounds for prolonged periods
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure enough cleaning supplies equipment and amenities are available
  • observes knocking procedures upon entering guest rooms
  • cleans assigned guest rooms and ensures amenities are stocked
  • completes housekeeping checklist accurately
  • marks clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
  • reports damages or hazards such as burned out light bulbs broken furniture or broken lights
  • secures guest room doors upon exiting
  • keeps corridors and service areas neat
  • turns in all lost and found items and guest room keys
  • adheres to company policies and procedures
  • follows safety and security procedures and rules
  • knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilizes protective equipment
  • reports unsafe conditions to management
  • reports accidents injuries near-misses property damage or loss to management
  • maintains neat clean and well-groomed appearance as outlined in team member handbook
  • performs related duties as requested by management
  • assists other housekeeping personnel when needed
