Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- capable of frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing and walking
- strong attention to detail
- reliable and punctual
- able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- must maintain a neat and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- effective communication skills to provide information and answer questions
- ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings
- proficient in written communication to mark completed rooms
- manual dexterity to perform cleaning duties
Job Duties
- Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure cleaning needs and amenities are available
- observes knocking procedures upon entering guest rooms
- cleans assigned guest rooms thoroughly and completes housekeeping checklist
- accurately marks clean rooms for supervisor inspection
- reports damages or hazards in guest rooms via designated systems
- secures guest room doors after cleaning
- maintains neat corridors and service areas
- turns in lost and found items and guest room keys
- adheres to all company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security rules
- knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- uses protective equipment appropriately
- reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
- maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- assists other housekeeping personnel when needed
