Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
- Willingness to work varied shifts including early mornings
- Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Strong communication skills to provide information and services
- Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness
- Proficient in written communication for daily paperwork
- Manual dexterity to perform cleaning duties
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
Job Duties
- Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available
- Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
- Cleans the guest rooms assigned and ensures amenities are stocked
- Completes entire housekeeping checklist
- Accurately marks clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
- Reports any damages or hazards in guest rooms
- Secures guest room doors upon exiting
- Keeps corridors and service area neat
- Turns in all lost and found items and guest room keys
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Follows safety and security procedures and rules
- Knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilizes protective equipment
- Reports unsafe conditions to management
- Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss
- Provides safe work environment
- Maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Performs related duties as requested
- Assists other housekeeping personnel when needed
