Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including early mornings
  • Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning duties

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Strong communication skills to provide information and services
  • Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness
  • Proficient in written communication for daily paperwork
  • Manual dexterity to perform cleaning duties
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance

Job Duties

  • Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available
  • Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
  • Cleans the guest rooms assigned and ensures amenities are stocked
  • Completes entire housekeeping checklist
  • Accurately marks clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
  • Reports any damages or hazards in guest rooms
  • Secures guest room doors upon exiting
  • Keeps corridors and service area neat
  • Turns in all lost and found items and guest room keys
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Follows safety and security procedures and rules
  • Knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilizes protective equipment
  • Reports unsafe conditions to management
  • Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss
  • Provides safe work environment
  • Maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Performs related duties as requested
  • Assists other housekeeping personnel when needed
