Job Duties
- sorts counts folds marks or carries linens
- clean multiple rooms daily including changing linens making beds dusting cleaning bathrooms vacuuming polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenish supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- clean corridors and stairways
- sweep and scrub bathroom floors
- clean rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies
- dust furniture wash walls and woodwork wash windows door panels and sills
- empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays
- transport trash and waste to disposal area
- replenish bathroom supplies replace light bulbs
- scrub bathroom vanity toilet mirrors walls and bathroom fan
- complete a quality check on television telephone AC and smoke detectors
- remove items left behind from room and take to lost and found following proper hotel procedure
- report maintenance problems to maintenance department through proper channels
- careful use of supplies and equipment
- wear proper uniform at all times
- score 90 percent or higher on room inspections
- greet every guest pleasantly
- possess knowledge of in-house products and local information to assist guests
- organize and stock cart timely after completing rooms
- maintain cleanliness in common areas
- respond within 10 minutes to requests for housekeeping supplies
- use guest name upon entering occupied room
- check vacant rooms daily for status verification
- maintain supply room clean and organized
- display teamwork and assist co-workers
