Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance
  • Availability to work morning shifts
  • Willingness to assist team members as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom
  • Ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods
  • Ability to talk to many different kinds of people to give information, answer questions and provide required services
  • Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings that have been left behind
  • Ability to use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork
  • Ability to move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Stock housekeeping bag to ensure that enough cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available to properly clean each room
  • Observe knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
  • Clean the guest rooms assigned and ensure the amenities are stocked for each cleaned room
  • Complete entire housekeeping checklist
  • Accurately mark clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
  • Report any damages or hazards that are present in guest rooms such as burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken lights in Guestware or Housekeeping Coordinator
  • Secure guest room doors upon exiting the room
  • Keep the corridors and service area neat at all times
  • Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room keys
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as outlined in team member handbook
  • Perform any related duties as requested by management
  • Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
