Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple rooms daily, including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture
- washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies
- replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fan
- completes quality check on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind and takes to Lost and Found
- reports maintenance problems through proper channels
- uses supplies and equipment carefully
- wears proper uniform at all times
- obtains score of 90% or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- knows in-house products and local area information
- organizes and stocks carts timely
- keeps commercial area clean and neat
- responds to housekeeping supply requests promptly
- uses guest names when entering occupied rooms
- checks vacant room status daily
- maintains a clean, neat, and organized supply room
- assists co-workers when needed
