Job Requirements

  • must be able to perform major life activities such as standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and carry 30 pounds
  • must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities including bending stretching reaching crawling and kneeling
  • must be able to see and hear
  • must be able to speak read or understand English
  • must pass security clearance according to company policy
  • must display professionalism honesty and trustworthiness at all times

Job Qualifications

  • experience in similar positions such as lodging housing hospitals or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • knowledge of guestroom cleaning procedures and sanitation
  • understanding of safety and security measures
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • effective communication skills in English
  • professionalism honesty trustworthiness
  • ability to multitask and remain service centric

Job Duties

  • provides excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • maintains cleanliness of guest rooms and organizes supplies
  • cleans vacant and occupied rooms within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • maintains sharpening grooming and uniform standards
  • keeps housekeeping carts clean and orderly
  • follows cleaning procedures and training checklists
  • reports discrepancies to management
  • assists in maintaining hotel public and service areas
  • responds to guest requests promptly
  • understands and follows emergency procedures and safety guidelines
  • performs additional duties as assigned
