Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
- Ability to follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom
- Ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods
- Ability to talk to many different kinds of people to give information and provide services
- Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings
- Ability to use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork
- Ability to move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties
Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping bag to ensure enough cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available
- Observe knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
- Clean the guest rooms assigned and ensure amenities are stocked
- Complete entire housekeeping checklist
- Accurately mark clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
- Report any damages or hazards present in guest rooms in Guestware or Housekeeping Coordinator
- Secure guest room doors upon exiting the room
