Job Requirements
- 1 year experience in a room attendant role
- experience in a 400+ room hotel preferred
- ability to lift or carry items up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
- ability to arrive to work on time
- ability to follow all safety procedures and standards
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to learn and apply cleanliness standards
- behave with integrity and honesty
- ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- ability to deal tactfully and patiently with guests and colleagues
Job Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a room attendant
- experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- experience in 4 Diamond rated hotels preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish verbally and in writing
- ability to follow and enforce cleanliness standards
- ability to recognize and act in emergency situations
- integrity and honesty in interactions with guests and associates
- ability to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals
Job Duties
- Perform turndown services including evening refreshment of occupied rooms
- adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations
- clean and service assigned rooms according to established standards including bed making, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and trash removal
- dust furniture and equipment
- clean kitchen areas and room amenities such as refrigerators, coffee makers, cups, glasses, and silverware
- notify supervisors when service is complete
- maintain overall cleanliness of assigned rooms and suites
- report rooms unable to be serviced and needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisors
- respond to guest complaints and special requests ensuring complete satisfaction
- monitor and control supplies and amenities to minimize waste
- report lost and found items according to procedures
- promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments
- assist with deep cleaning projects and other assigned duties
- replenish linen and guest amenities
