Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and security guidelines
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including varying days and hours
- Ability to maintain a neat and groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean, and make beds and bathrooms
- Ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and provide required services
- Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings
- Written communication skills to complete daily paperwork
- Dexterity in moving fingers, arms, and hands quickly to perform cleaning duties
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance
Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping bag to ensure enough cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities are available
- Observe knocking procedures when entering guest rooms
- Clean assigned guest rooms and ensure amenities are stocked
- Complete housekeeping checklist thoroughly
- Accurately mark cleaned rooms for supervisor inspection
- Report damages or hazards such as burned out bulbs and broken furniture
- Secure guest room doors upon exiting
- Keep corridors and service areas neat
- Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures
- Know and practice fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Use protective equipment appropriately
- Report unsafe conditions to management
- Report accidents, injuries, or property damage to management
- Provide a safe work environment by following safety rules
- Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
- Perform related duties as requested by management
- Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
