Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift fifty pounds maximum
  • Ability to frequently twist, bend, stoop, reach, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and smile
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Availability to work varied shifts and hours

  • Commitment to report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • Must adhere to company policies and team member handbook
  • Previous experience in housekeeping preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom
  • Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods
  • Communicate effectively to give information, answer questions and provide required services
  • Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings
  • Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork
  • Move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Stock housekeeping bag to ensure that enough cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available to properly clean each room
  • Observe knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
  • Clean the guest rooms assigned and ensure amenities are stocked
  • Complete entire housekeeping checklist
  • Accurately mark clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
  • Report any damages or hazards present in guest rooms in the system
  • Secure guest room doors upon exiting
  • Keep corridors and service areas neat at all times
  • Turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following safety and security procedures
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Perform any related duties as requested by management
  • Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
