Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to squat, bend, kneel and twist
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including holidays, weekends and nights
  • Comply with hotel policies and safety regulations
  • Pass background check and drug screening
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Adherence to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and chemical handling procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year hospitality experience in housekeeping preferred
  • Basic understanding of the English language preferred
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Knowledge of hotel layout, facilities and services
  • Understanding of emergency procedures and safety precautions
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work varied schedules including holidays, weekends, and nights
  • Ability to clearly communicate with employees, guests, vendors and corporate executives

Job Duties

  • Clean assigned guest rooms or suites per brand standards including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms
  • Empty trash containers and replace liners
  • Restock useable items in guest rooms such as soap, towels, and paper products
  • Clean and vacuum exterior entry and hallways
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of linen closets and supply areas
  • Attend promptly to guest laundry and dry-cleaning orders
  • Notify Supervisor of any special issues or maintenance needs in guest rooms
  • Handle guest complaints or requests with empathy and refer to Supervisor if needed
  • Secure rooms upon leaving
  • Handle chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines
  • Provide exceptional guest service with personal attention and teamwork
  • Listen and resolve guest problems with empathy
  • Follow hotel policies and procedures
