Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required
- ability to work flexible shifts
- ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, climb, balance, talk, and hear while performing duties
- able to work in mentally and physically stressful situations
- proper uniform must be worn at all times
- score of 90% or higher on room inspections

Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
- completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind and follows proper hotel procedure
- reports maintenance issues through proper channels
- uses supplies and equipment carefully
- wears proper uniform at all times
- obtains score of 90% or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- maintains thorough knowledge of hotel products and local area
- maintains organized supply cart
- supports team effort in keeping commercial areas clean
- responds timely to supply requests
- uses guest names when entering occupied rooms
- checks vacant rooms daily
- maintains clean and neat supply room
- assists co-workers as needed
