Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to lift 50 pounds maximum
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to bend, twist, stoop and reach frequently
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathrooms
- ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time
- effective communication skills to provide information and answer questions
- visual inspection skills for room cleanliness and guest belongings
- proficiency in written communication for marking rooms on daily paperwork
- manual dexterity to move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily for cleaning duties
Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping bag to ensure that enough cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available
- observe knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
- clean the guest rooms assigned and ensure amenities are stocked
- complete entire housekeeping checklist
- accurately mark clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
- report any damages or hazards present in guest rooms in Guestware or to Housekeeping Coordinator
- secure guest room doors upon exiting
- keep corridors and service area neat at all times
- turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures and rules
- know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions to management
- report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
- provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
- maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by management
- assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
