Job Requirements

  • Must pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • Must be able to perform major life activities including standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities such as bending stretching reaching crawling kneeling
  • Must be able to see hear and communicate in English
  • Must display professionalism honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • Must maintain a flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to comply with all standards and work independently

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging housing hospitals or care facilities helpful not mandatory
  • Ability to communicate in English speaking and reading or understanding
  • Professionalism honesty and trustworthiness
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens terry and other supplies
  • Understanding guestroom cleaning procedures and sanitation
  • Familiarity with safety and security measures
  • Ability to maintain designated minutes per room
  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures systematically
  • Ability to assist with guest issues with a hospitable caring attitude
  • Ability to multitask and remain service centric
  • Good communication skills with guests and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Provides excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner following company standards of friendly hospitality
  • Responsible for cleanliness of guest rooms and usage and organization of supplies
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to guest ready status and return occupied dirty rooms to occupied clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards daily
  • Maintain clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • Follow all cleaning procedures and training checklists
  • Report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Assist in maintaining other hotel areas clean and orderly including lounges, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and safety and security needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned within capability
