Job Requirements

  • Pass the appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • Must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting (push/pull 60 pounds, lift/carry 30 pounds), bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, kneeling
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours
  • Must be able to see and hear
  • Must speak, read, and understand English
  • Availability to maintain a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to professionalism and maintaining a friendly demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • Understanding of proper procedures for handling linens and supplies
  • Knowledge of sanitation and guest room cleaning procedures
  • Professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, additional languages helpful
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to multitask and remain service centric

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • Return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status according to brand standards
  • Maintain a crisp, clean and professional appearance daily
  • Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • Follow all cleaning procedures outlined in the training checklist
  • Report discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and safety and security needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
