Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull up to 60 pounds
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional appearance standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or room attendant experience is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Physical capability to lift 30 pounds and push/pull 60 pounds
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks
  • Good organizational skills and ability to maintain cleanliness and order
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Familiarity with emergency procedures
  • Commitment to adhere to company policies and standards

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times
  • Daily clean and return vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status, and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status including cleaning lighting fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets, and thorough cleaning of bathroom and vanity areas
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
  • Assist in general clean program by changing blankets, duvets/bedspreads, and mattress pads as required
  • Complete assigned daily room projects such as thresholds and edging
  • Assist in the carpet care program by daily spot cleaning guest room carpets
  • Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart and restock it daily
  • Report any damaged or inoperable room items to Maintenance via a work order
  • Report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel such as associate lounge, locker room, public areas, stairwells, and back of house areas
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
  • Communicate effectively with guests in English
  • Wear proper uniform in accordance with standards of appearance
  • Be able to lift and carry 30 pounds and push and pull 60 pounds
  • Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Follow cleaning procedures as trained by Housekeeping Manager and continue to practice skills
  • Practice safety standards and report or correct hazardous conditions
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies in the Associate Handbook
  • Perform other duties as assigned within capability
