Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent
- up to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read limited number of simple words and recognize similarities and differences
- ability to speak and print simple sentences
- ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- physical capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- ability to operate cleaning equipment
- willingness to work with cleaning fluids and solvents
- ability to communicate in English
- attention to safety and security
- ability to work in moderate noise levels
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read limited two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- ability to print and speak simple sentences
- ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems
- ability to communicate effectively in English with guests
- knowledge of safety and security procedures
Job Duties
- Clean rooms and halls according to hotel procedures
- stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- greet guests with a polite salutation
- replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- rearrange furnishings, drapes, and room accessories
- provide linen and amenities as required
- ensure guest rooms are left in uniform condition with doors closed and locked
- report any damages or hazards
- return lost and found items with documentation
- be responsible for keys signed out during the shift
- clean all corridors and service areas
- respond to housekeeping management requests and projects
- replace light bulbs if necessary
- restock cart and organize linen closet at end of shift
- perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
