Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continually throughout a shift
- Must be able to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture during a shift
- Ability to work with arms raised above head for extended periods
- Must be able to maneuver a loaded maid cart weighing up to 50lbs through hallways and closets
- Ability to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
- Ability to read written instructions and computer printouts
- Must be able to perform prolonged strenuous physical activity in an indoor climate-controlled environment
- Must be able to work in conditions of excessive heat and humidity in laundry areas
Job Qualifications
- No formal education or training required
- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles and cleaning product use
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Job Duties
- Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms and sets up cleaning cart with supplies
- Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms and public areas
- Washes shower walls, tubs, toilets, and restocks towels, soaps, and room amenities
- Washes all hard floor areas by hand and dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Strips bed linens and remakes beds checking for cleanliness
- Vacuums rooms and public areas, including under furniture
- Inspects door and window locks and room equipment to ensure safety and proper working order
